The departement organized UGC sponsored .National Seminar on Role of Nanotechologoy in Environmental Protection during Feb.10-11, 2012, and Prof.G.V.Subba reddy acted as Prog. Director
The departement organized Two days national workshop on “Analytical Techniques in Research and Analysis” 27th -28th Dec., 2013 and Prof.G.V.Subba reddy acted as Convenor.
The departement organized Two Day National Workshop on Environmental Management, Green and Sustainable Chemistry (EMGSC-2017) during 22nd -23rd Feb., 2017 and Dr. K. Sesha Maheswaramma acted as Convenor.

Projects on going

Prof.G.V.Subba Reddy sanctioned a majour research Project entitled “Spatial distribution of uranium and associated water quality parameters in ground water/ drinking water in Kadapa, Kurnool, Anantapur, Chittoor” for an amount. Rs.26,94,300 funded by Board of Research on Nuclear Science (BRNS), Mumbai (36(4)/14/19/2015-BRNS Dt:28.03.2016)
Dr. K. Sesha Maheswaramma sanctioned a minor research Project entitled Synthesis and characterization of biocompatible transition metal based DPPZ complexes for Rs. 1,50,000/- under TEQIP-II, MHRD, Govt. of India. Procs.No.JNTUACEP/TEQIP-II/R&D Projects seed money/13/2016.

Projects completed

Prof.G.V.Subba Reddy sanctioned a majour research project entitled “Base line survey on Air, Water and Soil quality, Radioactivity and Aquatic biota in and around project site of new Uranium mining site, Tummalapalli, A.P” of Rs. 59,41,000 funded by Board of Research on Nuclear Science (BRNS), Mumbai and completed in 2013.
Prof.G.V.Subba Reddy sanctioned a minor research project entitled Determination of pesticide residues in food matrices by using chromatographic Techniques for an amount of Rs.1,50,000 and completed in 2017 TEQIP-II, MHRD, Govt. of India. ( Procs.No.JNTUACEP/TEQIP-II/R&D Projects seed money/13/2016 dt.05-08-2016).

Guiding of Ph.D students:
